A quick alert on Refurbished pricing and shipping today.

A refurbished 6" U.S. Kindle 2 is now $109.99 - with free 2-day shipping.  This may be of interest to those who cannot get AT&T reception in their homes. It's a U.S. model with Sprint wireless or Kindle Whispernet, and wireless is not useable outside the U.S. - Otherwise, it's the same model Kindle as the Global one.

ALL refurbished models have free 2-day shipping currently (July 12, 2010), (including the now-expensive Kindle 1 -- SOLD OUT July 13).

These carry the usual Amazon Kindle 1-yr warranty as well as a 30-day full refund policy if not satisfied with it.

Here's a fast direct link to refurbished U.S. Kindle 2 as quantities remaining are unknown.

UPDATE - June 13, 2010 - The refurbished U.S. Kindle went in and out of stock on Tuesday after having run out Monday night, according to reports.  It seems done and then one pops up.  But at this point, so many are monitoring it now, it doesn't seem feasible to keep a watch on it, that while it didn't seem worthwhile to watch for more, apparently they have another batch.  Reports are that they look new.

NOTE: TO AVOID SPAM being posted instantly, this blog uses the "DELAY" feature.

Am often away much of the day, and postings won't show up right away. Posts done to use referrer-links may never show up.

Usually, am online enough to release comments within a day though, so the hard-to-read match-text tests for commenting won't be needed this way.

Feedback and questions are welcome. Thanks for participating.

Technical Problems?
If you're having problems leaving a Comment, Google's blogger-help asks that you clear the '' cookies on your browser's Tools or Options menu bar and that will fix the Comment-box problems (until they have a permanent fix).

IF that doesn't work either, then UNcheck the "keep me signed in" box -- Google-help says that should allow your comment to post (it's a workaround to a current bug).
Apologies for the problems.

TIP: There's a size limit. If longer than 3500 characters or so, in a text editor, make two posts out of it.
