Also, I noticed that the 16 gig drive price is now $50 rather than $60 while the 32 gig one is $90.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05109282436243758435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-872447660964013545.post-25190863376745510212012-01-24T11:11:44.030-08:002012-01-24T11:11:44.030-08:00Bob,
The drive is accessed via the Kingston app ...Bob,<br /> The drive is accessed via the Kingston app and the app describes copying files only via the USB cord. So any transfer of files would need to be done before you left on vacation. It's more a wireless streaming device that can provide up to 32 gigs of added space for shared access between three users. And it's a unit that lets your KFire access the Net while accessing the Wi-Drive, which is its advantage over the 500g Seagate device that's a hard drive and is much larger. This one, smaller than my cell phone, will usually be with me and I like that others can access these on their devices when I want to show something, rather than have them crowd around my little screens :-)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05109282436243758435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-872447660964013545.post-51790567494503108602012-01-24T09:24:45.204-08:002012-01-24T09:24:45.204-08:00Andrys, the wi-drive sounds like 'almost' ...Andrys, the wi-drive sounds like 'almost' perfect. What I haven't heard anyone talk about yet is whether or not Kindle books can be stored on it AND wirelessly transferred back, something like a 'mini-cloud'? I know you can copy books from, say, your Kindle Fire to a computer hard drive and later copy them back to the (same) Fire via USB, but it would seem if you can stream video, you should be able to transfer books somehow. Have you heard anything about this? By, the way, thank you for all your efforts. Your readers really appreciate it.Bobnoreply@blogger.com
