Nook update and Adobe Digital Edition probs
Adobe Digital Edition books (library books -- or books purchased with Adobe DRM elsewhere possibly) are not being recognized with the new 1.1 firmware update.
Solution: Move the "Digital Editions" folder to your nook's "My Documents" folder and that will get it all working again. Apparently the nook is ignoring the "Digital Editions" folder when it's in the root folder.
OR, move the ADE books to the "My Documents" folder.

Am often away much of the day, and postings won't show up right away. Posts done to use referrer-links may never show up.
Usually, am online enough to release comments within a day though, so the hard-to-read match-text tests for commenting won't be needed this way.

Technical Problems?
If you're having problems leaving a Comment, Google's blogger-help asks that you clear the 'blogger.com' cookies on your browser's Tools or Options menu bar and that will fix the Comment-box problems (until they have a permanent fix).
IF that doesn't work either, then UNcheck the "keep me signed in" box -- Google-help says that should allow your comment to post (it's a workaround to a current bug).
Apologies for the problems.
TIP: There's a size limit. If longer than 3500 characters or so, in a text editor, make two posts out of it.
How do you get adobe digital editions authorized on the nook? I opened the program on my computer, because the user guide says it will "automatically detect" the nook, but it doesn't. Any hints? thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou need to move the file to your Nook using Adobe Digital Editions (instead of using your usual computer Explorer or Finder method).
ReplyDeleteWhen moving the file with Adobe Digital Editions, put the Adobe folder (which is at the root level of your Nook) to the "My Documents" folder of the Nook and then it will recognize it.
Version 1.11 update (more recent) does this but apparently causes other problems per posts on the Barnes and Noble Nook forums. But if you have Version 1.10 update you'll need to move the folder over manually.
Then you should be able see the book on the Nook.
Let me know if that works for you.
