Just a temporary alert to RSS readers about revised Free Kindle Books guide Revision


The Free Kindle Books guide has been revised to remove log notes (which had made it hard to read and repetitive) and to explain the features better.  Google Reader doesn't recognize an older post that has been revised with a current date, so this will let you know there's a large revision.

    Hi,

    Clinking on link for books that are not Kindle books,but would like it to be a Kindle book-is this a waste of time?

    Kim,
    Where are you clicking on non-Kindle books? There are ways to convert certain types of books to Kindle books but you're not giving any information on the page you were on or the shop or whatever.

    I was talking about books that are not in a kindle format.A book that sells on Amazon as a paperback,hard copy.There is a link to click on that ask if you would like to read this in Kindle-to let publishers know.
    That was my question if that request is a waste of time....

    Ah, thanks Kim.
    I was thinking ePub format or some other format.

    From what people on the forums say, it's not a waste of time. It probably helps to have others who share your interest in a Kindle version also click on it. The Amazon Kindle forumners often ask others for help on it.

    Good luck on it! At the least, Amazon is said to forward such requests to the publishers.

Am often away much of the day, and postings won't show up right away. Posts done to use referrer-links may never show up.

Usually, am online enough to release comments within a day though, so the hard-to-read match-text tests for commenting won't be needed this way.

Technical Problems?
If you're having problems leaving a Comment, Google's blogger-help asks that you clear the 'blogger.com' cookies on your browser's Tools or Options menu bar and that will fix the Comment-box problems (until they have a permanent fix).

IF that doesn't work either, then UNcheck the "keep me signed in" box -- Google-help says that should allow your comment to post (it's a workaround to a current bug).
Apologies for the problems.

TIP: There's a size limit. If longer than 3500 characters or so, in a text editor, make two posts out of it.
