Kindle Tip: Temporarily-discounted Books Alert - 'Leaving Microsoft to Change the World' + link to other Kindle books discounted today

Temporarily discounted-book alerts include this unusual one

Leaving Microsoft to Change the World, by John Wood, published Oct 2009, and $11.55 in paperback.

From Publishers Weekly, in a starred review:
"It's a rare business book that not only provides savvy insights for better business practices but transcends the category altogether, to rank as an infectiously inspiring read.  Wood takes the reader on an engaging journey from his life as a rather ordinary marketing director at Microsoft through the transformative decision to launch the nonprofit organization Room to Read (www.roomtoread.org), which has created more than 2,000 schools and libraries for children across Asia."

He walked away from his Microsoft job, which he credits with giving him the business skills and drive to do this, in Nepal.

The book has 85 customer reviews, with an average rating of 4.6 stars. According to the discounted books thread's notes for today, the last reported price was $9.40 and I don't know how long the promo price will stay.  If you click on the link to the thread you can work backward to see what other Kindle books of interest are still discounted today.

Am working on a collection of news articles for later tonight or tomorrow morning but wanted to send this out separately due to the temporary nature of discounts.
